DIY Sewing Wreath

DIY Sewing Wreath

This is the perfect wall decor for your craft room, either inside the room itself or for the entrance and a great way to up-cycle old and brittle thread items or items you don´t use.

To start  you will need a polystyrene wreath base. Cover this with your fabric or ribbon of choice to form a base for your sewing items. You can start arranging your items on a table in a wreath shape, so you can decide how your finished product will look. Start with the larger items. Using a glue gun glue these items in place on the wreath base. With the thread spools you can also sew them on by putting the thread through the middle of the spools.

Secure your wall hanging thread around the wreath, so you can attach it to the wall.

Lastly add the finishing touches – the buttons, scissors, machine spools and thimbles – you can even add a tape measure around and add a cute bow.

I am an art and craft fanatic, most items in my house have been upcycled and the art work is by me! I love to try new techniques and research new tips. By day I am a craft researcher and in my spare time I like to do acrylic pour paintings, make things and upcycle.
